We have known Ebrima Jallow, president of the Bakindik Youth Development Association (BYDA),
for five years before starting to work with his group in 2017. This is our second set of projects on the north bank of the Gambia River.
2019
- sent our third barrel of gently-used clothes. They sell the clothes at reasonable prices and use the proceeds to fund their other community projects
- BYDA - Richard Pierpoint Library received 10 new books
- The 179 book library is on hold while they look for a suitable place for the library and when they start their soap making enterprise
2018
- Sent our second barrel of gently-used clothing
- Bakindik Youth Development Association opened the Richard Pierpoint Library with 171 new books
2017
- Sent our first barrel of gently-used clothes
- Provided funds to provide young scholars school supplies
